Well worth the cost - I bought this belt for pull-ups, and my priorities were comfort and quality, in that order. I ve been using this belt now for a few weeks, and I have found it to be very comfortable. The belt is shaped so the weight is distributed evenly on the whole belt, and none of the rivits or stitching or edges of the belt dig into your skin. In fact, I forget I m wearing it other than the weight it adds. The belt consists of two pieces of leather that together make the belt 1/4-inch thick. The inner piece of leather (the side that goes against your skin) is a softer type of suede and maybe 1/16-inch thick, and the outer piece of leather is a very durable looking hard type of leather. The belt is constructed with a heavy thread and ten very large rivits. I ve been very satisfied with the construction quality. I only put one or two small plates at a time on the belt, but the chain appears to be long enough to hold several 45 lb plates if needed. This belt cost more than other belts I investigated, but I m happy I bought it because the comfort and quality have exceeded my expectations.

Schiek Dipping Belt - I have been using a dip belt for a number of years (dips and pullups). I always used the one provided by the gym. However,the gym belt was out of service for a number of weeks and I decided to purchase my own. The Schiek Dip Belt provides a better weight distribution than its competitor. The pressure of the weight is distributed throughout the entire belt. Versus pressure strictly on the back from other products. The quality of the product is much better than its competitors. The only minus is the belt is larger than I expected. I compensate by looping the chain through the weight to shorten to my height.
